Originally, it was a chateau consisting of three U-shaped buildings, whose date of construction is uncertain. Louis XIV gave the castle to one of his natural daughters, Louise de Maisonblanche. On the site of this castle, the present castle was rebuilt during the Second Empire, in stone and brick, with a slate roof and a floor area of approx. 1,000 m2. In the park, a decorative pond has been laid out from a diversion in the course of the river. The walled English park extends over 53 hectares, of which 40 hectares are classified.
